What we collect
Clutch is designed to keep your financial data private on your own device. Here is what does leave your device, and why:
- Anonymous usage and performance telemetry. We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app performs in the real world — things like crash signals, feature usage counts, and session lengths. TelemetryDeck is privacy-first by design: all signals are hashed and anonymized before leaving your device. We cannot identify you personally from this data, and neither can TelemetryDeck.
- Your Apple Sign In user identifier (iOS). If you sign in on an Apple device, we receive a stable, anonymous string Apple provides. We do not receive your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it.
- Your Google Sign In user identifier (Android). If you sign in on an Android device, we receive a stable identifier from Google. We do not receive your Google account email unless you choose to share it.
- Your in-app purchase state (iOS). When you make a one-time purchase on iOS, Apple sends us the transaction signature via StoreKit 2. We store that you have purchased the app. We do not see your payment method or Apple ID password.
- Your Google Play purchase state (Android, when available). When you make a purchase on Android, Google Play Billing confirms the transaction. We store that you have purchased the app. We do not see your payment method.
What we do not collect
The following data lives only on your device. It does not go to our servers, and we cannot see it:
- Your income amounts, bill details, pay schedules, or any financial figures you enter.
- Your account balances or any bank-related information.
- Your personal settings and preferences within the app.
On iOS, your data is stored on-device and synced privately across your Apple devices via iCloud (CloudKit). On Android, sync will use Google Drive. In both cases the data is yours and is not readable by us.
Who sees your data
We use the following services that may process data on our behalf:
- TelemetryDeck. Anonymous, hashed usage and performance signals are sent to TelemetryDeck. No personally identifiable information is included. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy is available at telemetrydeck.com.
- Apple (iOS). Apple processes Sign in with Apple and all iOS in-app purchases (StoreKit). Their privacy policies apply to those interactions.
- Google (Android). Google processes Sign in with Google, Android purchases via Google Play Billing, and Drive sync. Their privacy policies apply to those interactions.
- Cloudflare. Our backend infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare sees standard request metadata (IP address, request headers) at the network edge.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. There are no ads in Clutch.
How long we keep data
- Purchase records: for the life of your purchase, plus a short audit window.
- TelemetryDeck signals: retained per TelemetryDeck's standard data retention policy (see telemetrydeck.com).
Your rights
You can:
- Ask us what data we have about you. Email founder@wanderlustinnovations.com and we'll respond within 14 days.
- Ask us to delete your account and all server-side data. We will delete everything within 30 days of your request. Your purchase history with Apple or Google is not ours to delete.
- Opt out of TelemetryDeck analytics. You can disable analytics in the app's Settings screen.
- Correct any data we have. Email us with the correction.
If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA. The rights listed above apply to you regardless.
Children's privacy
Clutch is intended for adults managing their own finances. It is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the app, please contact us at founder@wanderlustinnovations.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way, we will post the updated version here and note the change. We won't change the substance of what we collect without telling you first.
Governing law
Wanderlust Innovations, LLC is registered in the State of Georgia, USA. Any dispute about this privacy policy will be governed by the laws of Georgia.
